NYU Doctor’s Wife Amy Goldenberg Charged With Stalking and Threatening to Kill the Mistress of her husband Dr. Ronald Goldenberg.
Bombshell court papers detail a volatile love triangle putting prominent pulmonologist Ronald Goldenberg between his attractive blond wife, Amy, and his brunette lover, Einat Packman.
“He cheated on me for years. He left me for this woman,” an enraged Amy Goldenberg, 42, who is engaged in a nasty divorce with her husband of 16 years, told The News Wednesday outside her Closter, N.J., mansion. “She’s nuts!”
But prosecutors say Packman, 40, of Manhattan, was the victim of a wife who couldn’t bear losing her hubby.
Amy Goldenberg has been arrested at least four times. She was first busted May 23, 2012, and charged with harassment and stalking.
She was also arrested on related charges last Aug. 8, Nov. 21 and again on Feb. 27, after allegedly violating an order of protection by bombarding her husband and Packman with threatening emails, phone calls and text messages.
New York University Dr. Ronald Goldenberg with Einat Packman, the mistress Goldenberg’s wife, Amy, threatened to kill, according to court documents.
According to court papers, the wife allegedly sent her husband an onslaught of text messages calling his new love a “loser” and a “homewrecking whore.”
She also allegedly threatened to kill Packman.
On June 8, 2012, Amy Goldenberg called her 44-year-old husband claiming she was outside his girlfriend’s Murray Hill home preparing to whack her, according to court papers.
“I have a gun and I’m going to shoot her, so keep laughing,” Goldenberg, a mom of three, allegedly said in the menacing missive.
Court papers show the wife began contacting Packman in December 2011, when she became suspicious of an affair.
“Are you having sex with my husband? Leave my husband alone. He’s married,” Amy Goldenberg is accused of telling Packman in a phone call.
A hearing Wednesday for Amy Goldenberg in Manhattan Supreme Court was postponed until July 24.
Her husband and Packman could not be reached for comment.
Amy Goldenberg insisted she’s the real victim.
“There were threats back and forth,” she said. “He threatened custody of the kids. He had gone around town making up lies about me.”
Her lawyer, George Farkas, said, “Amy unfortunately had her buttons pushed. Her reaction to them was inappropriate.
“She’s entering into a conditional plea that hopefully will result at the end of the period in no harm to her future.”
