Billionaire hedge fund manager George Soros’ daughter Andrea Soros sells her swanky West Village townhouse for $20M.
Andrea Soros Colombel, the daughter of billionaire hedge fund founder George Soros finally sold her West Village townhouse for $20 million — a third off its $29.5 million asking price, according to city property records.
Andrea Soros bought the West Village townhouse for $11.5 million in 2006.
The stately six story mansion, built in 1844 in a Greek revival style, is 8,472 square feet. It comes with at least six bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. There’s also three wood burning fireplaces, radiant heated floors and an elevator.
The parlor level boasts floor to ceiling windows, mahogany pocket doors and herringbone hardwood floors — along with a grand living room and formal dining room — as well as a wet bar, windowed half bath, and a library with custom built in storage.
Next up is the garden level, which has a chef’s kitchen with Le Cornue custom cabinets and a butler’s pantry along with a breakfast room.
The third floor features a full floor master suite with a sitting area, office, second bedroom and a half bathroom. There’s also a windowed dressing room with custom built-in storage and a full spa-like bathroom with a shower and separate soaking tub.
The fourth floor is set for kids with two bedrooms, each with an ensuite bath, and a children’s playroom. There’s also a second laundry room — along with another suite on the fifth floor that opens onto a landscaped terrace.
